A message from the Principal, Mr Miah 

Academic Year 2023 - 2024

I feel truly privileged to be leading our fantastic, modern academy and have thoroughly enjoyed working with pupils, parents, staff and the wider community to provide a truly exceptional education for the young people we serve. I am confident that your child will reach their full potential and develop a love of learning at Hackwood. Last year we achieved some brilliant outcomes across the school; we pride ourselves on delivering a brilliant Early Years provision, secure fantastic Phonics outcomes and inspire a love of reading which allows all our pupils to attain great outcomes by the time they leave Year 6. With your continued support we will strengthen our school, where all of our children can believe, achieve and succeed.

Our vision is to create an excellent beacon school for our community and build on our strong partnership to create the conditions for all of our pupils to succeed. This year we have even greater belief in making sure that your child achieves and succeeds.  

The children at Hackwood are special! They are respectful towards everyone, persevere in their learning and take pride in everything they do. I have no doubt that they will continue to embody the Hackwood Expectations: 'Being Respectful, Persevering and Taking pride in everything we do'. It is clear that our children believe in themselves, achieve their targets and succeed.

I look forward to working with you even more closely this year. I am incredibly passionate about education and excited about the year ahead. I am convinced and dedicated to make sure we go from strength to strength.
